We are flesh and we are presence.
We are words
and cells,
and scars.
We are past
but mostly present.

Beating hearts and ageing skin.
We are earthly and divine.
We belong to our kin.
Different samples of one kind.

We are stardust.
We are soil.
We are water.
Sometimes tears.
We live lifetimes of turmoil
and still love our living years.

We are memories to be.
We are young in cosmic measures
and as ancient as the sea.
Walking pain in search of pleasures.

We are more than our minds.
We’ve got the power to create.
We are one.
All humankind
is connected.
We relate.
